John Potter

  General Notes:

Deathdate: p 80, although this is confusing from the entry in the Ancient Town Record volume and the added footnote: "It is Ordered that the Treasurer take care and see that widdow Potter the midwives house* be mended, and paid for out of the Treasury" The footnote*: "Elizabeth, widow of John Potter, who died in 1643. Her house was on the southwest corner of George and State streets." (Elizabeth?) ⁷³¹

  Research Notes:

The LDS Ancestral File has the marriage of Widow Beecher to John Potter, but the dates are all mixed up, showing her and her first husband, John Beecher, dying in 1656. Questionable dates, but more research should turn up some answers.

John married Hannah. (Hannah was born about 1584 in England and died in 1659 in New Haven, Connecticut.)
