Became a 'Town Father' of Milton, MA and the church there.
1660: one of a number receiving an allotment of lands in that part of Dorchester set off in 1662 as Milton.
Deputy to the General Court at Milton in 1680, 1683, 1690 and 1697. Served on a committee to build the new meeting house, as a selectman several years, and sergeant of a military company.
Mentioned often in the journal of his friend the Rev. Mr. Thacher, the minister of the church at Milton.
